Update on tassie

We need to be praying for her upcoming surgery that will take place on tomorrow Monday. The doctors are going in to replace the flap in her skull that has been out to allow the swelling to go completely down. So thank you everyone for your continued prayers and support. You are appreciated! I knew it was going to be big but never thought it was gonna be anything like that!!! We are so blessed with the friends and family we have…. I hope you are all ready for some great news!

After talking to Jeannie the other day I was so excited to hear the great report on Tassie. Jeannie told me that she has repeated a 3 word sentence. How about that! Tassie is also putting more weight on her feet when she is stood up. All of her doctors are very encouraged about her progress and are giving positive reports to the family.

These are all great things going on for Tassie. Here is something else that is going on for Tassie. Her friends are getting together on Saturday at Kemah for a fund raiser for her. Here is the latest with Tassie. Last night Tassie was wide awake, the Doctors changed her stimulation medicine and it is working better than the other stimulant she was on. We listened to music and looked at pictures from 6pm till about 10pm. Some of the new things she can do that I noticed.

She reaches for and squeezes our hands, she placed her left hand on my shoulder, when u come into the room laughing and smiling she will smile back, twice she has shaken her head yes, when asked if ur ok?.

She helps a little now with getting her self dressed, pulling the blankets up because she may be cold, she pulls her shirt down when u lift it up and she pulled away last night when I tried to put carmex on her lips.

They get Tassie up in the standing position, and Tassie is starting to engage in the transfer from her bed to the wheelchair, She is tolerating the standing position very well although with support from a mechanical device and the therapist, her left arm and leg are stronger than her right arm and leg and She is tolerating her scheduled sitting upward times.

This entire event is beyond our humanly control and understanding, we all know that we have to trust in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Nov Hello again, I know it has been several weeks since we last posted an update on Tassie, so here we go.

Australia News Investigation underway after five children were killed in 'devastating' Devonport jumping castle tragedy An investigation is underway after five children - three boys and two girls - were killed in the "incomprehensible" jumping castle tragedy in Devonport, Tasmania on Thursday. In times like this it may seem that the progress is so slow.

I am fully persuaded that our GOD is big enough to complete the work, no matter how long it takes. I hope that you will all be encouraged today no matter what situation you are in. Never ever give up!!! God is still working! Yesterday Jeannie told us that Tassie is doing so good. She is continuing to improve every day. Here is what the doctors are saying concerning her coma. I hope I am getting this correct, but there is a scale on which they grade for a coma.

Anything 8 or below is considered to be a coma. Tassie is at a 9, one step above the coma state. Considering that when she came out of surgery she was at 3 and now at a 9 this is wonderful news. Jeannie also told us that when she went to give Tassie a kiss, Tassie puckered up for it. What awesome news! That means she is understanding things. They were believing they would be able to get her over to a facility called TIRR, and last evening they moved her there.

She will get great care at this facility. This is a little late but it is great news. Yesterday Jeannie gave us a great report about Tassie. She was sitting in her chair and turning her head looking around. The doctors are telling Jeannie how great Tassie is doing.

Prayers are going up for Tassie in 53 countries that we know of! Here is the latest with Tassie.
